Partial-Day Treatment Program: The overarching goal of the Partial-Day Treatment Program is to create an environment in which adolescents can improve their development of social skills, cognitive skills, physical skills, independent living skills, and healthy coping skills. Family Trauma Service’s Partial Day Treatment Plan serves youth ages 12 to 18 who present with significant behavioral problems or adolescents who are transitioning back into the community from a residential placement or placement in a correctional facility. The Partial-Day Treatment Program for juveniles operates Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and functions as a twelve week program in which core program curriculum is covered in a twelve week rotation. Curriculum topics include the following: social skills, life skills, financial responsibility, values, self-development, impulse control, substance abuse education, decision making, vocational education, family values, and relapse prevention. In addition to the center-based group component, clinicians conduct one family therapy session per week in the client's home. Family therapy sessions focus on family relationships, roles within families, and ways family members can support each other. Transportation Transportation of client to facilitate treatment will be provided by FTS Counselors. This includes transportation to clinical services, community resources, self-help services, community events, social/recreational activities, and any other needs relevant to the attainment of stated goals and objectives. |
